vesicles)\uff0c\u900f\u904e\u80de\u5916\u9ad4\u975e\u7de8\u78bcRNA(exosomal ncRNAs)\u4f86\u6559\u80b2\u55dc\u4e2d\u6027\u7403\u4ee5\u5f62\u6210\u514d\u75ab\u6291\u5236\u6027\u816b\u7624\u5fae\u74b0\u5883\u4e26\u5c0e\u81f4\u816b\u7624\u60e1\u5316\u3002\u816b\u7624\u7d30\u80de\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u900f\u904e\u5f62\u6210\u7d30\u80de\u5167\u7d30\u80de\u69cb\u9020(cell-in-cell structure)\u4f86\u9020\u6210\u514d\u75ab\u6cbb\u7642\u6297\u6027\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8b49\u5be6\u816b\u7624\u5fae\u74b0\u5883\u662f\u5f71\u97ff\u816b\u7624\u6cbb\u7642\u6210\u6548\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u95dc\u9375\uff0c\u66f4\u662f\u958b\u767c\u6f5b\u5728\u816b\u7624\u6a19\u9776\u85e5\u7269\u53ca\u751f\u7269\u6a19\u8a18\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u65b9\u5411\u3002<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Cancer cells possess characters similar to healthy stem cells, and the degree of cell dedifferentiation is correlated with poor prognosis. We isolated cancer stem cells (CSCs) as sphere-derived cancer stem cells (SDCSCs) from primary colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues and cell lines for characterization in vitro and in vivo. Microarray analysis and next-generation sequencing of the SDCSCs were used to elucidate their transcriptome and miRNome for exploring their enriched biological activities. We found expanded SDCSCs were enriched with CD44(+)\/CD166(+) subpopulations and had undergone epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) with Snail being the predominant regulator. The Snail-IL8 signal axis and Snail-miR<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">-146a<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">-Numb circuits were demonstrated to maintain Nanog\/OCT4 expression for maintaining tumor niches and Wnt signal cassettes for symmetric stem cell division, respectively. In colorectal cancer patients, Snail and IL8 were coexpressed with the stem cell marker CD44 and the Snail<sup>High<\/sup>Numb<sup>Low<\/sup> profile was correlated with Erbitux resistance. Exosomal non-coding RNAs of SDCSCs further orchestrated a pro-tumoral, immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) by activating host neutrophils. Cancer cells also generate cell-in-cell (CIC) structures to facilitate immune evasion. Dr. Hwang\u2019s studies reveal the presence of a complex interactome of CSCs, the potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Interests:
